A standard five (5) year structural warranty is offered on all our timber furniture from the date of dispatch.

Coverage

Dutoit Studio (“we” or “us”) hereby guarantees to repair or replace any part of the product with a manufacturing or structural defect within the warranty period. This warranty is applicable only to the original purchaser of the product.

Warranty Claim Process

To initiate a warranty claim, the original purchaser must submit a written application within 7 days of the defect occurring. The warranty claim must be accompanied by the following documentation.

• Proof of purchase (invoice or receipt)
• A detailed description of the claimed fault
• Clear photographs of the defect

Coverage Details

Defective Materials and Workmanship
We will replace defective materials and/or address faulty workmanship in the products supplied by Dutoit Studio within the warranty period at no cost to the client. The limit of liability under this warranty shall be the original cost of the general and specialist joinery.

Exclusions

This warranty does not cover the following:

• Normal wear and tear
• Damage resulting from abnormal use, abuse, or vandalism
• Accidental damage
• Damage caused by acts of nature
• Warping and/or damage of items if they have been stored in a third-party storage facility
• Scratching and/or chipping of paint finishes
• Scratching and/or chipping of timber
• Products that have not been maintained as recommended by Dutoit Studio (please refer to our website for detailed maintenance information)
• Products that have been moved overseas
• Products that have been modified, customised, or altered in any way after delivery
• Any components not manufactured by Dutoit Studio
• Transport charges for returning the product to and from Dutoit Studio for repair or replacement
• Any mechanical damage or damage caused by neglect, thermal shock, or other factors outside the documented capability of the product
• Failures or defects caused by the nature of constructions, faults in the structure, fire, floods, or other occurrences outside the control of Dutoit Studio

 Disclaimer

This warranty covers defects arising from faulty workmanship but does not extend to cover natural movements in solid timbers, veneer products, variations or movements in timber products (such as bowing or cupping), exposure to extreme temperature changes, and direct sunlight, which may cause color changes and/or surface damage (including lacquer and joint separation). Such issues are considered circumstances beyond our control and are not covered under this warranty.

Warranty Period

A standard five (5) year structural warranty is offered on all our outdoor furniture from the date of dispatch. This warranty covers the structural integrity of steel products. Please note that it does not include the powder-coated finish.

Powder-Coated Finish

Dutoit Studio does not warrant powder-coated finishes against scratching, scuffing, chipping, fading, or corrosion for both indoor and outdoor use. For outdoor use, it is recommended that all products are kept in undercover areas. Powder-coated products exposed to extreme weather conditions, such as harsh seafront locations, pool areas, and UV fading, are not warranted by Dutoit Studio.

• Damage resulting from mishandling, misuse, physical or chemical abuse, failure to follow proper care and maintenance instructions, accidental damage, or customer abuse
• Corrosion originating from scratches or abrasions resulting from general wear and tear, which cannot be removed via standard cleaning and maintenance processes
• Damage caused by detritus, organic or man-made matter settling on the product surface, including mineral deposits leaching from soils and fertilizers
• Minor corrosion spots at the weld joins, which do not affect the structural integrity and are a natural outcome of the material used
• Corrosion of steel furniture and parts, including stainless steel, used in harsh seafront locations or confined, chlorinated environments
• Product damage due to the build-up of mold resulting from environmental factors such as wet weather, dampness, and humidity
• Normal wear and tear or natural fading of materials used
• Variances in color, shade, or gloss level of finishes
• Products disliked by the customer following delivery, including color, fabric, timber, or other personal preferences
• Claims caused directly or indirectly by events or matters beyond our control, including incidental, consequential, or contingent damages
• Products purchased at a sale price are subject to specific warranty conditions outlined on the sale invoice
• Transportation costs for replacement parts and products or labor costs for repair may be charged at our discretion
• Goods held in storage for any period due to potential environmental extremities within certain storage facilities
