Dutoit Studio offers a 5-year structural warranty on eligible products, covering defects in materials and workmanship. This warranty is applicable to the original purchaser from the date of dispatch and is subject to the terms outlined below.

1. FORM Bed Base, BUOY Stools, & ELLE Armchair

Warranty Period

A standard 5-year structural warranty applies to all our timber furniture.

Coverage

Dutoit Studio guarantees to repair or replace any part of the product with a manufacturing or structural defect within the warranty period. This warranty is applicable only to the original purchaser of the product.

2. TUIN Seating & Tables

Warranty Period

A standard 5-year structural warranty applies to all our outdoor furniture, covering the structural integrity of steel components.

Powder-Coated Finish

The powder-coated finish is not covered under this warranty. While durable, finishes are subject to wear and tear and may scratch, chip, or fade over time. We recommend placing outdoor products in undercover areas to prolong their lifespan. Products exposed to extreme weather conditions, such as seafront environments or poolside locations, are not warranted.

Warranty Claim Process

To initiate a warranty claim:

Email us at hello@dutoit.studio within 5 business days of discovering the defect.

Include the following documentation:

Proof of purchase (invoice or receipt).

A detailed description of the defect.

Clear photographs of the issue.

We aim to assess and process your claim within 10 business days and will contact you with the next steps.

Coverage Details

Defective Materials and Workmanship

We will repair or replace defective materials or address faulty workmanship at no cost to the client. The limit of liability under this warranty shall not exceed the original purchase price of the product.

Exclusions

This warranty does not cover:

Wear and Tear: Normal aging of materials, including natural fading, discoloration, or minor scratches.

Misuse: Damage caused by mishandling, improper use, neglect, or failure to follow care and maintenance instructions.

Environmental Factors:

Corrosion from exposure to harsh environments, such as seafront locations or chlorinated pool areas.

Damage caused by mold, dampness, humidity, or mineral deposits from soil or fertilizers.

Storage: Damage resulting from items stored in third-party facilities.

Modifications: Products that have been altered, customized, or repaired by anyone other than Dutoit Studio.

Customer Preferences: Dissatisfaction with color, fabric, timber, or other aesthetic features following delivery.

Transportation Costs: Costs related to returning the product or shipping replacement parts are not covered under this warranty and may be charged at our discretion.

Acts of Nature: Damage resulting from natural events, such as fire, floods, or extreme weather conditions.

Disclaimers

This warranty covers defects arising from faulty workmanship and structural integrity but excludes the following:

Natural movement or variations in solid timbers, including bowing, cupping, or joint separation due to temperature or humidity changes.

Color changes or surface damage resulting from exposure to direct sunlight or extreme environmental conditions.

Variations in shade, gloss level, or grain patterns in timber and finishes, which are inherent in natural materials.
